Job summary

NHE, Inc (N&H Enterprises) is seeking a part-time Resident Service Coordinator in Columbia, SC. This role supports residents in Affordable/HUD subsidized housing by providing non-clinical assessments, referrals, and coordination of services to promote independence and aging in place.

The position emphasizes strong customer service, collaboration with community providers, and adherence to HUD guidelines. Local travel and driver’s license are required to engage with residents and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social service related field or HUD required work experience.
• Knowledge of elderly and disability services and referral processes.
• Two to three years of social service delivery experience. Training in cultural competency and bilingual skills are assets.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive non-clinical assessments of residents for wellness and social needs.
• Help residents identify, access, and coordinate services and monitor service providers.
• Monitor receipt and follow-through of services and encourage resident engagement.
• Develop and arrange educational/preventative health programs and services.
• Maintain partnerships with Area Agencies on Aging and community providers.
• Maintain an up-to-date directory of local service providers.
• Demonstrate professionalism within the property management team.
