Job summary

Verland is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join the Main Campus in Sewickley, PA. You will provide exceptional care to residents, supporting daily living activities and implementing individualized plans.

Two weeks of paid training are provided; the role requires lifting, transportation, and adherence to safety protocols. Verland offers comprehensive benefits and a commitment to quality of care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift and transfer residents without restrictions.
• Must pass a full background, physical, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support the lives of residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment
• Introduce and encourage skill development through active treatment activities
• Implement individualized programs; record all observations and daily progress notes.
• Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities
• Assist with meals and perform cleaning and laundry duties in the house
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles
• Bathe, dress, and assist clients with personal hygiene
• Housekeeping duties as needed
• Other duties as assigned
