Job summary

The Shores of Worthington seeks an Activity Assistant to support engaging activity programs for residents in a skilled nursing facility. You will help plan calendars, lead group and 1:1 activities, and promote participation to support physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.

Responsibilities include coordinating activities, transporting residents as needed, documenting attendance, and collaborating with nursing staff, volunteers, and families to tailor plans to each resident's needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in activities or recreation in healthcare preferred.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing daily, weekly, and monthly activity calendars.
• Lead group and one-on-one activities (games, crafts, music, exercise, outings).
• Encourage resident participation and maintain a positive, inclusive environment.
• Transport or escort residents to activities and ensure safety.
