About the Position

The Muscle Function and Locomotion Group within Penn States' Biomechanics Laboratory is seeking a dedicated part‑time laboratory assistant to support ongoing research projects and routine laboratory maintenance. The primary focus of the lab member will be to assist with animal‑based experimental protocols. Duties include animal monitoring, assistance with experimental procedures such as biomechanical movement assessments and metabolic measurements, supply ordering, and related tasks. The lab member may also interact with human‑based research projects and, depending on experience, assist with electronics, design, and manufacturing of novel research equipment and software.
