Job summary

Age of Learning is hiring part-time Research Assessors to administer standardized assessments to children aged 4–5 across multiple metropolitan areas. This contract-based role requires onboarding, training, and travel to assigned centers.

Baseline assessments run Sept–Oct 2026, followed by a March–April 2027 follow-up, with estimated hours per week during windows. Compensation includes $30/hour for assessment and training, $15/hour for travel, and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (minimum) in education, psychology, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, counseling, or a related field; current graduate students in these fields are strongly encouraged to apply
• Experience working with young children (ages 3–6)
• Reliable personal transportation (mileage reimbursement provided)
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• English/ Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) preferred for NYC applicants

Responsibilities

• Administer standardized assessments one-on-one with children ages 4–5 at participating centers
• Complete required Human Subjects and HR onboarding training (paid)
• Attend required training sessions on assessment administration and scoring
• Travel to assigned centers within your metropolitan area
• Participate in two intensive assessment windows: Baseline (Sept–Oct 2026) and Follow-up (Mar–Apr 2027)
• Each window lasts 2–3 weeks; 15–25 hours per week during active periods
