Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a part-time Engineer for System Engineering, Space Vehicle Systems, and payload assembly integration and test. This role provides government oversight of critical space vehicle assembly, integration and test activities, with in-factory oversight and formal technical reporting.

The position is remote part-time with occasional on-site work at Gilbert, AZ. Requires BS in Physics or Engineering, 25+ years in space vehicle R&D, ability to obtain a security

Qualifications

• BS degree in Physics, Engineering, or related field.
• 25+ years of space vehicle R&D experience.
• Ability to report to executive management.
• Willingness to travel domestically.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of critical assembly, integration, and test activities with government and prime/sub-contractors.
• Ad hoc system engineering on classified systems.
• Provide Aerospace technical expertise to SSC/AATS program.
• Rapidly respond to government requested support for test monitoring, reporting or onsite meeting attendance.
