Job summary

National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) seeks a Geospatial Data Scientist in Denver to support the USBR, developing and implementing modern geospatial data management workflows within a remote sensing and cloud migration context. The role requires a strong GIS background, Esri software experience, and the ability to contribute to data catalogs, training, and cross-platform workflows.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 year(s) of experience in geographic information systems and geospatial data management OR MA/MS Degree in Water resources or natural resources with minimum additional experience of 10 year(s) in geographic information systems and geospatial data management
• Experience with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook, Adobe Acrobat
• GIS software products from Esri, Inc., including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Image Server, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online

Responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of a modern geospatial data management framework for Reclamation.
• Work includes contributing to Reclamation’s Remote Sensing Data Catalog (RSDC), designing and piloting geospatial data management workflows, supporting data management training, and informing cloud migration planning for Enterprise GIS system and related geospatial analytics environments.
• Review and inform RSDC application development30%
