Phileo Shared Services seeks a part-time Controller to oversee day-to-day accounting for partner Christian schools. You will ensure accurate records, maintain internal controls, and supervise part-time finance staff while reporting to the CFO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required).
• Minimum 5 years of accounting/financial management experience, nonprofit or school experience a plus.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Proficiency with accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for partner Christian schools.
• Manage general ledger, tuition management, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closes with strong internal controls.
• Prepare financial statements and assist budgets/forecasts.
• Supervise finance staff and oversee accounting software usage.
• Advise school leadership on financial strategy and mission alignment.
