Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; BLS within 90 days of hire.
• Registered Dental Assistant or EFDA certification preferred.
• Surgical Technologist registration if operating room assistance is needed.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required at a level 10.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient records and update medical history and vital signs.
• Perform complete dental X-ray procedures and store images in the EDR.
• Set up and record periodontal charts as instructed by the provider.
• Prepare instruments and materials for patient exams and procedures.
• Ensure infection control and cross‑contamination prevention during exams.
• Provide preventative periodontal care and教育 on oral hygiene.
• Start and monitor nitrous oxide analgesia under provider supervision.
• Educate patients in oral hygiene and participate in school-based programs.
• Monitor and implement the clinic infection control program and sterilization processes.
• Assist in orthodontics tasks as needed (records, models, retainers).
• Perform duties aligned with TJC/HRSA and YVFWC requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
