Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Registration as Surgical Technologist if assisting a Dentist in the operating room.
• Registered Dental Assistant or EFDA certification.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred at a level 10.
• Eligible for Bilingual Differential Compensation with ALTA score 10.
• Basic knowledge of dental terminology, materials, and infection control.
• Ability to perform four-handed dental assisting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient medical records and vital signs.
• Conduct complete patient X-ray procedures and store in EDR.
• Set up and record periodontal charting per Provider instructions.
• Prepare and set up instruments for exams.
• Mix materials with infection control in mind.
• Perform preventative periodontal care (polish, fluoride, sealants).
• Start and monitor nitrous oxide analgesia under Provider supervision.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and care.
• Assist in infection control program and sterile processing.
• May assist in Orthodontics and record collection.
• Perform duties aligned with Joint Commission HRSA requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
