Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA, is hiring a part-time rehab aide to support the acute care therapy team. The role is 30 hours per week with benefits eligibility, and is well-suited for individuals with a background in exercise science or rehab-centered patient care.

The Rehab Aide assists licensed therapists in physical, speech, and/or occupational therapy, helping to maintain a safe and clean environment, monitor inventories, and support front-end staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
• 1 year Healthcare experience (Preferred)
• CPR/BLS Certification (Preferred)

Responsabilités

• Provides non-skilled patient care activities as directed by therapist or therapy assistant.
• Maintains a safe and clean environment wiping down equipment, preparing mat tables for the next patient and managing soiled linens.
• Assists with patient communication regarding schedule or appointments. Assists with audits and reports. Answers the phones.
• Maintains appropriate levels of supplies and assures equipment is ready for use. Stocks shelves, monitors inventory and orders supplies.
• Assists with new employee, student, and volunteer training.

Formation

High School Diploma or GED

1 year Healthcare experience

CPR/BLS Certification
