Job description

Role:

Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessments, primarily in critical care settings.

Responsibilities:

Provide patient-centered care through ventilator management, airway procedures, arterial blood gas analysis, and therapy plans. Collaborate with healthcare teams, educate patients and staff, and ensure a safe, quality environment by adhering to protocols, documentation, and performance improvement initiatives. Participate in invasive and non-invasive procedures, and support new employee and student training.

Qualifications & Skills:

An associate or bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy, with NBRC-RRT and RCP certifications. BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory. Ideal candidates have 0-2 years of clinical experience, including a minimum of six months in critical care. Must possess strong communication, critical thinking, customer service, and computer skills, and be able to establish effective working relationships with team members and patients.

Key Duties:

Assess patients, verify and administer therapies, manage ventilators, interpret waveforms, and support patient and staff education. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and promote evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and care quality.
