Job summary

The Valley Health System (VHS) is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe, compassionate nursing care in a busy hospital setting in Las Vegas, NV. The role emphasizes patient-centered care and professional leadership within a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, an active RN license in Nevada, and current BLS; PALS or NRP may be required by department.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• Experience: One-year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting preferred.
• License/Certification: Current RN license in the state of Nevada. Current BLS Certification, Current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.
• Other certification may be required by facility, specialty, or department.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care.
• Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
