Job summary

The Valley Health System (VHS) operates six hospitals in Las Vegas and Southern Nevada and seeks exceptional nurses to provide safe, compassionate care in a busy hospital setting. This role emphasizes leadership and adherence to patient-centered care standards within a well-established health system.

Qualified candidates are graduates from accredited nursing programs with Nevada RN licensure and current BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications as required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a Specialty course within 6 months of hire.
• One-year acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire.
• Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS Certification. Current ACLS Certification (adult patients), current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
