Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is hiring a Staff Nurse to provide patient-centered nursing care within the Northwestern Medicine system. You will assess patients, develop a care plan with the patient and family, and collaborate with the care team to ensure quality outcomes.

The role requires a BSN and an active Illinois RN license, with certifications such as ACLS and PALS/ENPC/TNCC within one year of hire for ER/PCU settings. ADN graduates with a BSN plan are welcome.

Qualifications

• Requires BSN and current Illinois RN license.
• ACLS, PALS/ENPC & TNCC within one year of hire (ER/PCU)
• Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration ability.
• ADN acceptable with plan to obtain BSN within three years.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document patient status and care needs.
• Develop and update Plan of Care with patient/family input.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and discharge planning.
• Provide evidence-based patient education and support.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings for care planning.
