Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• Experience in acute hospital setting preferred.
• Ability to plan, organize and manage patient care with delegation.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required upon employment.
• ACLS required, or willing to complete within first year.
• PALS required, or willing to complete within first year if hired into the Emergency Dept.
• Good communication, human relations, and team orientation with staff, patients, families, physicians, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits Service Excellence behavior and rounds on patients & families, providing updates and addressing issues.
• Delivers patient care using the nursing process for an assigned group of patients.
• Coordinates discharge planning and continuity of care.
• Communicates clinical information to the care team and keeps families informed.
• Coordinates patient and family education.
• Maintains safety and follows clinical guidelines in medication administration and procedures.
• Collaborates with physicians and other disciplines regarding the plan of care.
