Job summary

Family Resource Home Care is hiring a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to support our Ontario assistive home care branch. The role offers flexible scheduling, opportunities for mentorship, and work that steps away from bedside routines while enabling teaching and professional growth.

The RN must reside in Ontario and hold an active Oregon RN license. Expect 10–30 hours per week, with 60% office work and 40% client homes for assessments or observations, plus mileage reimbursement and company-paid

Qualifications

• Active Oregon state RN license is required.
• Ability to pass a state and national background check.
• Own a personal vehicle with valid license and insurance.
• 1 year of home care or SNF/ICU/Med-Surg experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to admit clients needing nursing services.
• Perform nursing assessments and monitor client progress.
• Delegate tasks to caregivers while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Lead care plan development and updates for individuals.
• Supervise LPNs and ensure high-quality care delivery.
• Deliver caregiver training and education on care practices.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and team.
• Review documentation and record nursing services.
• Participate in meetings and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
• Adhere to agency policies and provide nursing support as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Admission: Collaborate with the team to admit clients needing medication administration and nursing services.
• Assessments & Monitoring: Perform nursing assessments, monitor client progress, and coordinate care.
• Task Delegation: Delegate nursing tasks to caregivers, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Care Plan Development: Lead the development and updating of individualized care plans.
• Supervision: Provide guidance to LPNs and ensure high-quality care delivery.
• Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with the team and clients.
• Documentation: Review client documentation and records, and document nursing services and interactions.
• Training & Education: Deliver training and education to caregivers to enhance their skills.
• Meetings: Participate in company and departmental meetings to stay informed and engaged.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with agency policies and regulations.
• Support: Offer support to other nurses as needed.

Requirements

• Licensure: Active Oregon state RN license.
• Background Check: Ability to pass a state and national background check.
• Transportation: Personal vehicle, valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
• Experience: 1 year of experience in a home care/home health setting OR at least 1 year in an SNF, ICU, or Med-Surg.

Work Schedule

• Hours: Expected to work 10-30 hours per week based on business needs and your schedule.
• Typical Office Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM.
• Location: 60% of your time will be in an office environment; 40% will be in various client homes for assessments or observations.
