Job summary

Hale Makua Health Services on Maui is seeking a part-time Registered Dietitian to join our care team, coordinating nutritional care for residents and guests. The RD will guide staff, perform timely assessments, and review menus to ensure nutritional adequacy.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's in Dietetics, is ADA registered (and Hawaii licensed when applicable), and has at least 2 years in healthcare food service, with supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics from an accredited college or university.
• Must be registered with the American Dietetic Association and licensed in accordance with Hawaii state laws when applicable.
• Minimum of 2 years of food service experience in a health care program, preferably long-term care.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a health care program preferred; continuing education hours with CDR to maintain registration.

Responsibilities

• Guides staff in monitoring client nutritional care outcomes and taking appropriate action.
• Performs assessments on clients in a timely manner according to Federal and State regulations.
• Reviews and approves all menus and snack lists monthly.
• Develops and modifies care plans to support clients' nutritional needs.
