Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with Commission of Dietetic Registration.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition or related field.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and healthcare nutrition guidelines.
• Computer experience with word processing and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Complete nutritional assessments and provide interventions using evidence-based practices for inpatient and outpatient care.
• Educate patients, families, nursing, food service, and other staff on nutritional needs.
• Document assessments and interventions in the medical record.
• Communicate patient nutritional status with physicians and clinical staff.
• Manage therapeutic diets and supplements as ordered by physicians.
• Attend rounds and support clinical nutrition policies for regulatory compliance.

Guide patients, families, and facility staff on all aspects of medical nutrition therapy to create a healthy and healing environment.
