Job summary

HHS is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join the culinary team at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Winchester to guide medical nutrition therapy for patients and help create a healthy healing environment.

You will build relationships with physicians and nurses, perform nutritional assessments, provide education to patients and staff, document care in the medical record, and participate in rounds to ensure high-quality care. Rate is $30/hour with 8 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed per state regulations.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition or related field.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards.
• Computer experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and various software.

Responsibilities

• Complete nutritional assessments and provide interventions using evidence-based practices for inpatient and outpatient care.
• Provide education to patients, families, nursing, food service, and other facility staff on nutritional needs.
• Document assessment of patients with nutritional goals and interventions in the medical record.
• Communicate with physicians and clinical staff on patients’ nutritional status.
• Attend patient rounds and maintain clinical nutrition policies to support regulatory compliance.

We’re looking for a friendly, compassionate leader to join our culinary team! Guide patients, families, and facility staff on all aspects of medical nutrition therapy to create a healthy and healing environment. Build relationships with physicians and nurses to support patient satisfaction and achieve quality care that meets each patient’s nutritional needs.

Responsibilities

• Starting Rate $30/hr (Negotiable based on experience) 8 hours/week
• Complete nutritional assessments and provide interventions using evidence-based practices for both inpatient and outpatient care
• Provide education to patients, families, nursing, food service, and other facility staff on nutritional needs
• Document assessment of patients with nutritional goals and interventions in the medical record
• Communicate with physicians and clinical staff on patients’ nutritional status
• Manage physician orders for therapeutic diets and supplements
• Attend patient rounds and maintain clinical nutrition policies to support regulatory compliance
