The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is hiring a Behavior Intervention Specialist at the MU Thompson Center to provide direct ABA services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This role requires strong communication and data management skills, with a minimum qualification of a high school diploma and one year of related experience. The expected hourly rate ranges from $15 to $18.
As a member of the Applied Behavioral Intervention Services division at the MU Thompson Center, the Behavior Intervention Specialist provides direct, individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families. This position works under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement evidence-based behavioral interventions designed to improve communication, social, adaptive, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors. The specialist collaborates with families and caregivers to promote skill generalization across home, school, and community settings.
This position plays a critical role in helping children with Autism Spectrum Disorder develop meaningful skills that improve independence, communication, social engagement, and quality of life. Through direct intervention and family support, the Behavior Intervention Specialist contributes to positive long-term outcomes for children and their families while advancing the mission of the MU Thompson Center.
Hours may vary: M-F 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.
One year experience in health management or program administration is required.
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $15-$18 hourly.
Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
