Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, fun, social and fair environment for all players.
• Understand and fairly enforce each sport’s rules.
• Communicate equipment, rule, or player issues to the office.
• Update league scores in the user interface.
• Check in players in the user interface.
• Promote events and upcoming leagues via social media and on-field selling.
• Distribute marketing materials.
• Maintain a quality experience throughout the league.
• Set up and take down field setup.
• Meet players and make them feel welcome.

Job Description

Hosts and Referees serve as representatives for Volo and its subsidiaries at facilities and bars and are the main point of contact for our players in leagues. This is a part time position, however, there are opportunities for advancement within the company.

Referee Responsibilities Including, But Not Limited To

• Ensure a safe, fun, social and fair environment for all players


• Understand and kindly and fairly enforce each sport’s rules


• Communicate with the office regarding any equipment, rule issues, player issues, etc.


• Update league scores in our user interface


• Check in players in our user interface


• Promote events and upcoming leagues via social media and on-field selling


• Help distribute marketing materials


• Encourage and maintain a quality experience throughout the league


• Set up & take down field set up


• Meet players and make them feel welcome

Must-Haves

• Must be willing and able to work weekends and nights - we are especially looking for folks with Wednesday and Thursday evening availability.

• As a referee, you must have played the sport before, and attend a shadow shift with a veteran referee as well as a sport specific training as they are available.


• Certified referees may qualify for a higher starting rate.
