Job summary

Keshet is seeking a Part-Time Program Aide to support program facilitators and meet the physical and instructional needs of participants with disabilities in a recreational setting. The role emphasizes self-help skills, behavior management, and participant engagement, with 15–18 hours per week across weekdays and weekends at Highland Park or Northbrook locations.

Two positions exist, one focusing on youth programs and one on adult programs, supervised by the Recreation Program Manager.

Qualifications

• Be respectful and follow Jewish culture and guidelines set forth in the personnel manual.
• Adhere to Keshet policies and procedures outlined in the policy manual, Employee Handbook, and other employee policies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to display flexibility and confidence in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Engage participants in activities throughout the program time.
• Work with the small group or 1:1 participant to promote independence and dignity throughout each session.
• Help set up and clean up the area.
• Be respectful and follow Jewish culture and guidelines.
• Adhere to Keshet policies and procedures outlined in the policy manual, Employee Handbook, and other employee policies.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
