Job summary

LifeBridge Partnership is seeking a part-time Recreation Specialist to support youth and adults with disabilities through after school enrichment, day camps, and community outings. You’ll help participants with mobility, communication, meals, and daily activities while fostering independence.

The role offers flexible scheduling across daytime, evening, and weekend shifts (4–8 hours). If you enjoy variety and teamwork, this position fits you well and makes a real impact in our community.

Qualifications

• Role requires working multiple shifts including days/evenings/weekends.
• Physical tasks including assisting clients up to 75 lb, kneeling, squatting, bending for individualized supports.
• Evidence of an excellent driving record per the DMV.
• Background check including Missouri DHSS Safety Registry.
• Pre-employment drug test.
• Missouri Class E license within 45 days of employment.
• Relias Training within 7 days; field work training within 30 days.
• Proficiency with navigation tools (GPS/MapQuest/Maps).

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to/from community outings and drive agency vehicles.
• Support participants with mobility, communication, meals, restroom use, and behavior needs.
• Lead small group activities promoting independence and social skill development.
• Complete pre- and post-outing documentation.
• Assist program leads in engaging youth in after school and camp activities.
• Promote independence and social development.
• Provide active supervision to ensure safety.
