Job summary

The Salvation Army Omaha Kroc Center seeks energetic, relationship-oriented individuals to join a close-knit team dedicated to enriching lives in a Christ-centered environment. The Recreation & Sports Attendant ensures a clean, safe, and fun space and accurately tracks patron check-in/out in recreation areas.

Responsibilities include proactive guest interaction, assisting with coaching and officiating, maintaining equipment and safety protocols, and supporting events and community outreach.

Qualifications

• English proficiency required; Spanish language skills helpful.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Exceptional flexibility and ability to work on multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to collaborate and work within a team.
• Attention to detail, creative problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters.
• General computer knowledge to access payroll, timekeeping and personal data via a web-based system.

Responsibilities

• Proactively engage with guests to provide an excellent experience in the program area.
• Promote a culture of hospitality; ensure events and programming are well attended.
• Maintain cleaning, equipment support, and inventory for the assigned program area.
• Ensure emergency responses follow TSA policy with clear documentation.
• Maintain knowledge of general and department safety rules.
• Enforce center rules calmly and effectively.
• Communicate and respond to signs of danger.
• Assist staff with programming, coaching, officiating, and related tasks.
• Assist in tracking statistics and provide reports as required.
• Ensure safety standards are met and maintain required certifications.
• Participate in community events to promote Kroc Center usage.
• Provide coverage in Health & Fitness and Aquatics areas as assigned.
• All other duties as assigned.
