Job summary

The Center for Developmental Disabilities is seeking a part-time Recreation Specialist/DSP to organize and plan recreational activities for individuals with varying abilities. You will ensure support aligns with dignity and core competencies and participate in trainings to better understand and assist those you work with.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, AMAP/SCIP certifications, and a valid NYS driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• AMAP and SCIP certification required.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License required; able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Organize and plan recreational activities for individuals.
• Ensure support that aligns with core competencies and dignity.
• Participate in trainings to better support individuals.
