Job summary

City of Clovis in New Mexico is seeking a Recreation Assistant for a part-time, non-benefit role in the Parks & Recreation – Recreation Division. Under general supervision, you will support programs, handle customer service, and help with facilities and events.

You will assist staff, monitor safety, and help with equipment, inventory, and daily operations. The position requires a high school diploma and CPR/AED/First Aid within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• First Aid, AED and CPR certification required within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assists with setup, coordination, and delivery of recreation programs, activities, and events
• Provides customer service to participants and visitors
• Monitors recreation facilities to ensure safe use and enforces rules
• Assists with opening and closing procedures
• Organizes equipment and maintains supplies
• Performs basic cleaning and maintenance of recreation facilities
• Performs other duties as assigned
