City of Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation seeks a part-time Recreation Specialist I to plan, coordinate, and oversee youth and adult athletic leagues, programs, and facility operations with a focus on safety and customer service.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and may require a driver’s license. Expect varied hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with training provided.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in recreation management, therapeutic recreation, exercise science, or related field.
• Or any combination of education and/or experience equivalent to four (4) years in recreation.
• May be required to have a current and valid driver’s license. May require a Commercial driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate youth and adult athletic leagues, programs, services & operations with excellent customer service.
• Lead and instruct activities; manage facility operations and safety standards.
• Supervise part-time staff and volunteers; provide training, scheduling, mentoring and evaluation.

Formação académica

Bachelor’s degree in recreation management or related field

4 years of related experience
