Job summary

Emanuel County Recreation Department is seeking part-time Recreation Program Support team members to assist with youth and adult athletic programs across county facilities. Roles include concessions, scorekeeping, officiating, field setup, and equipment distribution, with a focus on reliability and teamwork.

The positions involve evenings and weekends, outdoor work in various weather conditions, and light to heavy physical activity.

Qualifications

Ability to interpret and apply basic rules for youth and adult sports.
Capable of enforcing rules and handling disputes calmly in high-pressure situations.
Able to make sound decisions quickly in fast-paced environments.
Experience with scorekeeping methods and basic scorebooks or software.
Basic math skills for making change at concession or event sites.

Responsibilities

Support concessions operations during games or events, restock, and maintain cleanliness.
Serve as scorekeeper for youth and adult games and communicate with officials.
Officiate youth sports and enforce rules to ensure fair play.
Set up fields and facilities, including lines, goals, and equipment.
Distribute uniforms and equipment during registration events or seasons.
