The City of Conroe is seeking a Recreation Leader III to deliver programs and events for the public and assist with facility operations at the Senior Center. The role involves planning, organizing supplies, setting up and taking down activities, and ensuring participant safety while following city policies.
Under supervision, you will open/close facilities, help supervise staff, and provide excellent customer service to attendees, including senior citizens, in a fast-paced environment.
With supervision, the Recreation Leader III will deliver programs and events directly to the public; open and close facilities; assist with planning, gathering and organizing supplies/equipment, set-up, assigning duties and take-down for programs and events; perform cursory cleanup of facility as needed; follow all City and Center policies and procedures; responsible for the care and safety of participants.

The work is medium and requires the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: crouching, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, talking, visual acuity and walking.
The City of Conroe offers an employee assistance program and free membership at the City's pool and recreation center facilities for all employees. Starting salary for this position is $13.65 hourly.
