City of Conroe is seeking an enthusiastic team member for the Afterschool Program at the Oscar Johnson Jr Enrichment & Recreation Center. Under supervision, you will help deliver programs and events to the public, assist with setup and teardown, and ensure the care and safety of participants.
Qualifications include cash handling, experience with children, strong communication and customer service skills, and familiarity with public programs and events.
With supervision, assists in delivering programs and events directly to the public. Assists with set up and take down for programs and events, performs assigned duties and cursory clean-up of facility as needed, follows all City of Conroe and Center policies and procedures, and is responsible for the care and safety of participants.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education and Experience: Minimum age of 16 years.
Special Requirements: Ability to obtain relevant certifications within time period designated by supervisor.
The work is medium and requires the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: crouching, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, talking, visual acuity and walking.
