Job summary

The City of Goodyear is seeking part-time Recreation Center Attendants for the Goodyear Recreation Center. The role emphasizes excellent customer service, friendly communication, safety, and support across multiple facility areas and activities.

Ideal candidates will assist with event setup, program check-ins, and maintaining clean, orderly spaces while enforcing center policies and providing accurate information on programs and rentals.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong commitment to safety and satisfaction of facility users.
• Ability to monitor multiple areas and enforce policies.
• Willing to assist in various operational areas.

Responsibilities

• Monitor users in the weight room, indoor track, gymnasium, fitness studios, teen room, front desk and other areas of the building to safe practices.
• Provide excellent customer service and greet patrons.
• Maintain knowledge of GRC operations and programming to share accurate information with participants.
• Complete signup procedures for GRC programs and rentals such as swimming lessons, sport programs, group fitness classes, ramada rentals and more.
• Answer, screen and direct incoming calls and appointments.
• Clean and maintain the fitness equipment, welcome center, indoor track, storage, lobby and other areas of the GRC.
• Assist participants with acquisition of checkout equipment.
• Assist with event and program set-up/take down.
