Job summary

US Foods, Inc. in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a part-time Non-CDL Driver to deliver foodservice products with a GVW up to 14,900 lbs. You'll perform multi-stop deliveries, ensure on-time service, and maintain safety and accuracy.

This role starts at $24.75 per hour, requires 21+ years old, a valid US driver's license, and ability to lift up to 80 lbs. Training provided; benefits begin Day One; schedule is Mon-Fri, 10:00 a.m. until work is finished.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with endorsements if required.
• No commercial driving experience required; 1 year multi-stop delivery preferred or 6 months local delivery/foodservice experience.
• Hand cart delivery experience preferred.
• Must be able to read and communicate in English.
• Basic math skills required.
• Must be able to pass DOT Physical.

Responsibilities

• Safe driving: Deliver products to customers in a timely and safe manner.
• Unloading: Use a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand with 100% touch freight.
• Product handling: Move products into customer locations with a hand truck, including stairs.
• Delivery verification: Verify deliveries with customers and obtain signatures.
• Return management: Document and manage returned products.
• Issue reporting: Communicate delivery or customer issues to appropriate personnel.
• Equipment inspection: Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections for safety.
• Account management: Handle collections and payments when applicable.
• Adaptability: Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Non-CDL Driver – Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Non-CDL Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving a company vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of up to 14,900 lbs. You will make multi-stop deliveries of foodservice products, ensuring a high level of service for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe Driving : Deliver products to our customers in a timely and safe manner.
• Unloading: Skillfully unload products efficiently using a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand, placing them in the designated storage areas – 100% touch freight.
• Product Handling: Use a hand truck to move products into customer locations, navigating stairs and various delivery environments as required.
• Delivery Verification : Verify deliveries with customers & secure signatures.
• Return Management : Properly document and manage any returned products.
• Issue Reporting : Communicate any delivery or customer issues to the appropriate personnel, including Customer Service and your supervisor.
• Equipment Inspection : Conduct pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.
• Account Management : Handle collections and payments when applicable.
• Adaptability: All other duties assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

• Lift/carry/push/pull/lower 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required.
• Driving & working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required.
• Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment as low as 0 degrees.
• Continuously grasp objects & manipulate objects. Frequently sit, stand, walk, drive, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel/bend, bend, reach above shoulder, twist, and use manual dexterity.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license issued by the state of legal residence with proper endorsements if required.
• No commercial or professional driving experience required. One-year of multi-stop delivery experience is preferred or six-months local delivery experience and/or foodservice industry experience.
• Hand cart delivery experience preferred.
• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) are required.
• Must be able to pass DOT Physical.
