Full Circle in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a part-time Recovery Coach to provide peer recovery support to individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. The role emphasizes empathy, goal setting, and access to resources, with adherence to confidentiality and Full Circle’s ethics.

The position is 20 hours per week, with a schedule Tue 10-6, Thu 8-4, Fri 12-4, and requires experience in recovery frameworks and the CCAR Recovery Coach Academy within three months of hire.

Qualifications

• Personal experience with substance use disorder, mental health conditions, recovery, and/or justice system involvement.
• Knowledge of recovery systems, MAT, harm reduction, and peer recovery support services.
• Education/experience in human services, social work, criminal justice, or related nonprofit field.
• Must agree to CCAR Recovery Coach Academy and Ethical Considerations within three months.
• Creative problem-solving with ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

Responsabilités

• Peer recovery support to individuals onsite and in the community; help develop recovery plans and connect with resources.
• Assess needs and assist with goal setting using evidence-based practices.
• Develop individualized recovery plans and guide access to resources and services.
• Make TRS calls, sign-up recoverees, and enter TRS data into the system.
• Advocate for rights and well-being; educate on treatment options and coping strategies.
• Maintain confidential records and contribute to program evaluation.
• Ensure OSHA standards and organizational policies are followed.
