Job summary

Community and Family Resources is seeking a full-time Peer Recovery Coach to advocate for clients and families in Des Moines. This role includes assisting clients in understanding services, providing support, and facilitating groups.

Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, be a graduate of Recovery Coach Academy Training, and have lived recovery experience. The position offers comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of Recovery Coach Academy Training approved by Iowa's managed behavioral health care provider certification.
• Lived experience in recovery with substance use and/or gambling disorder issues.
• A valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assists clients and family members in understanding and accessing services.
• Provides peer support and education to clients.
• Develops and facilitates support groups and classes as directed.
