Job summary

Lordship School in Stratford is seeking a dedicated Reading Tutor to join our part-time team. You will provide personalized instruction, support, and encouragement to students to build reading skills.

The tutor will develop individualized plans, deliver one-on-one and small group sessions, monitor progress, and communicate with teachers and parents to ensure student growth. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Education, strong communication, patience, and a passion for helping diverse learners

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Education preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students of diverse backgrounds.
Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other educators.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement individualized tutoring plans tailored to each student's needs.
Provide one-on-one and small group instruction in reading comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary development.
Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
Foster a supportive and motivating environment to encourage students' confidence and enthusiasm for reading.
Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and school staff regarding student progress and any concerns.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessments.
