Job summary

The Place for Children with Autism in Chicago is seeking a Part-time Behavior Therapist to work 1:1 with children aged 4–12. You’ll help build communication, social, and daily-living skills through engaging activities and structured data collection.

Fully paid training supports your path to RBT certification, with many hires certified within about 35 days of start. We offer a supportive team environment, ongoing learning, and opportunities to grow into leadership or BCBA roles as you develop

Qualifications

• Energetic team players who engage and move with children.
• Collaborative multitaskers who guide a child, take notes, or communicate with parents or staff.
• Positive role models focused on safety and a welcoming therapy space.
• Punctual, eager to learn, and open to feedback.
• Must be 18+ with a HS diploma or GED and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with children ages 4-12 to develop communication, social, and daily-living skills.
• Implement therapy programs designed by BCBA supervisors; collect data and discuss progress.
• Engage children with energy, play, movement, and laughter to promote growth.
• Collaborate with families to celebrate wins and address challenges.
