Job summary

Autism Center of Excellence in Durham, NC is seeking a compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy for children with autism. You will implement plans created by a BCBA and collect session data using our electronic data system.

The role requires an RBT certification, a high school diploma, and reliable transportation for potential location travel. Part-time hours are offered with opportunities for ongoing training and BCBA supervision.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between service locations when applicable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining appropriate communication with supervising clinicians.
• Ability to successfully complete required background checks and pre-employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy to children with autism.
• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA.
• Collect session data and complete documentation using our electronic data collection system.
• Support communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skill development.
• Follow individualized behavior intervention and safety plans.
• Collaborate with BCBAs, caregivers, and other team members to support client progress.
• Maintain professional and compassionate interactions with clients and families.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
