Job summary

Ventura County Community College District is accepting applications on an on-going basis for part-time instructors in Radiologic Technology at Moorpark College. Applications will be kept on file for Summer 2026, Fall 2026, and Spring 2027, and may be considered if vacancies arise during the year.

Under general direction of a dean, instructors may teach up to 67% of a full-time assignment in lecture, lab, or clinical settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or higher and two years of professional experience OR Associates degree and six years of professional experience OR the equivalent; OR possession of a valid California Community College Teaching Credential appropriate to the discipline.
• Professional experience is required when the applicant possesses a masters degree.
• All coursework must be from a recognized accredited college or university.
• Foreign transcripts guidance is provided for non-accredited foreign coursework.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic instruction to students through lecture, lab, or performance courses; assess and develop cognitive abilities, communication skills, and higher order thinking skills.
• Advise and instruct students regarding programs of study, other institutions of higher education, lifelong learning resources, and effective study skills.
• Observe and evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback on inquiries and assessments.
• Plan and organize instruction according to course outlines and student learning outcomes to maximize learning.
• Maintain accurate records of enrollment, attendance, progress, and outcomes; prepare reports on time.
• Evaluate and select instructional materials in collaboration with faculty; ensure timely delivery.
