Job summary

Ventura County Community College District is accepting applications on an ongoing basis for part-time instructors at Oxnard, Moorpark, and Ventura colleges. Pools are for Summer 2025, Fall 2025, and Spring 2026, with consideration if vacancies arise within the academic year.

Under a dean's direction, instructors provide classroom instruction to diverse students and may teach up to 67% of a full-time assignment. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications as approved by the CCCBGO handbook.

Qualifications

• Meet minimum qualifications for the discipline as approved by the California Community Colleges Board of Governors.
• Ability to teach through lecture, lab, or performance formats.
• Advise and refer students to support services and resources.
• Submit complete application with required documents and questionnaires.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction through lecture, lab, or performance courses.
• Advise and instruct students on programs of study and resources.
• Observe and evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Plan instruction according to approved course outlines and student learning outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of enrollment, attendance, progress, and outcomes.
• Update syllabi and course content to align with department goals.
