Advocate Health's Stanly Radiation Oncology department seeks a part-time Radiation Therapist for 24 hours/week. The role involves delivering ionizing radiation per regulatory guidelines, monitoring equipment, maintaining patient treatment records, and interfacing with ARIA for treatment data.

Qualified candidates will be AMA-therapeutic radiology graduates, ARRT-registered or eligible, and must have BLS. On-site position in North Carolina with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Therapeutic Radiology or international equivalent.
• ARRT registered or registry eligible; must pass within 90 days of employment.
• BLS required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Treats patients with ionizing radiation in adherence to all regulatory guidelines.
• Monitors equipment parameters, documents malfunctions and follows safety procedures.
• Maintains accurate medical records and treatment schedules.
• Inputs treatment and simulation charge information into ARIA.
• Documents patient treatment chart.
• Understands emergency and fault procedures for linear accelerators and simulators.
• Recognizes and reports patient concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Communicates instructions and procedures to patients and families.
• Maintains organization and cleanliness in the clinic.
