Job summary

Brasstech is seeking a Mechanical or Industrial Engineering student for a part-time role focused on developing and updating production work instructions to support safe, high-quality manufacturing.

In this role you will format instructions in the standard template, route them for approvals, upload to the Brasstech intranet, and update documents when processes change. You will also participate in Lean initiatives such as 5S and kaizen to help drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or Industrial Engineering student.
• No experience required.
• Experience using MS Office software.

Responsibilities

• Develops work instructions following standard format.
• Distributes completed work instructions for approval and follows up to obtain approvals in a timely manner, making any corrections as deemed necessary.
• Uploads approved work instructions to the Brasstech Intranet System.
• Updates Work Instructions as required per Engineering Changes (EN’s) or process changes.
• Participates in team-based process improvement activities:5S, kaizen, Lean Manufacturing practices, cost reduction, etc.
