Job summary

Fastenal’s Edwardsville, KS distribution center is hiring a Part-time Quality Control associate to support product flow and accuracy. You will audit, inspect, and label products, operate RF scanners and printers, and help ensure compliance across departments.

This entry-level role offers 20–28 hours per week with a morning shift from 7:00am to 1:00pm. You’ll learn safety, environmental and sustainability practices, and join a team that values ambition, integrity, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Proficient written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude and attention to detail.
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed.
• Demonstrate core values of ambition, integrity and teamwork.
• Lift, slide, carry, and lower packages weighing 25–50 lbs (up to 100 lbs).
• Pass the required drug screen (US, Puerto Rico and Guam).

Responsibilities

• Operating computer programs, RF scanners, and printers to label product.
• Auditing various internal departments' work to ensure compliance.
• Documenting discrepancies and entering data.
• Reporting results of audits.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules.
• Participating in activities that help achieve health, safety and sustainability goals.
• Learning and practicing environmental health and safety trainings.
