Job summary

The University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, GA seeks an Executive Publishing Advisor (Part-Time) to assist the UNG Press Director with strategic projects, publishing initiatives, and grant development. You will help build relationships with faculty, academic departments, universities, and publishing partners while supporting press priorities and new initiatives.

This role is ideal for experienced professionals in higher education publishing who can work independently and manage multiple tasks

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required; master's preferred.
• At least five years in higher education or related academic work.
• Experience in grant research, writing and post-award fulfilment.
• Experience with interorganizational initiatives in higher education and the publishing industry.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director with Press priorities, projects, and initiatives.
• Conduct research, analysis, and project development to support Press planning, operations, publishing programs, partnerships, and new initiatives.
• Assist the Director with publishing projects and initiatives at various stages of development as assigned.
• Assist the Director with the development and preparation of grant proposals, narratives, project descriptions, supporting documentation, and other application materials as assigned.
• Assist the Director in maintaining relationships between the Press and faculty, academic departments, other universities, and academic and publishing partners as assigned.
