Securitas, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Public Safety Officer in Ankeny, IA. The role involves maintaining a safe environment, monitoring access, and patrolling client sites according to post orders and client directives.

You will interact with employees and guests, handle incidents, and use security technology during your shifts. The ideal candidate is 18+, with a HS diploma or GED, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work independently while staying calm under pressure.

Part-Time Public Safety Officer

Primary Location: Ankeny, IA

Wage:$23.00/HR

Schedule: Fri: 1630 - 1830; 2200 - 0600

ThePublic Safety Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect:

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to theclient's employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• CPR, AED, and Safe Driver certified.
• 1 year of Military, Security, or Public Safety experience.
