Job summary

The St Charles Park District seeks a Part-Time Custodian for the Hickory Knolls Discovery Center in St. Charles, IL. You will perform interior and exterior cleaning to maintain a clean, safe facility and assist with rental space set-ups.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, at least two years of janitorial experience, ability to work nights and weekends, and a valid IL driver’s license. CPR/First Aid certification or timely renewal is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate.
• At least two years of janitorial/cleaning experience.
• Experience with cleaning in public buildings helpful.
• Ability to set up and take down rental spaces for events.
• Willingness to work nights/weekends; flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior custodial duties to maintain a clean facility.
• Communicate with supervisor to ensure regular trash removal and supply restocking.
• Monitor and stock cleaning chemicals; ensure proper labeling and safety.
• Assist staff with event setups and maintain safe working spaces.
