Job summary

Vertis Therapy is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for our LTACH in Greenfield, IN. Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, you will provide skilled physical therapy treatments to help residents improve independence, safety, and functional mobility.

Responsibilities include treatment, documentation, collaboration with the therapy team, participation in professional development, and leading wellness programs for the community.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited institution.
• Valid Physical Therapist Assistant state license or license eligibility.
• Proficient in implementing effective treatment plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Proficiency documenting in electronic medical record platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to improve residents' safety, functional mobility, strength, and independence.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation.
• Communicate with the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team regarding resident progress and changes in functional status.
• Participate or lead team development meetings.
• Lead or support community-wide wellness programs and events.
