Job summary

Interdynamics, Inc. is a Hyattsville-based behavioral health provider seeking an experienced Psychiatrist to join our clinical team as an independent contractor, offering a flexible, part-time schedule of about 20 hours per week in an outpatient setting.

You will deliver comprehensive psychiatric services, including evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning, with psychotherapy and medication management as clinically appropriate, while maintaining autonomy and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland medical license in good standing.
• 10+ years of experience practicing psychiatry.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to compassionate, ethical, patient-centered care.
• Strong clinical documentation and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and CON evaluations.
• Evaluate patients and establish diagnoses.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical needs.
• Provide psychotherapy and medication management when appropriate.
• Monitor treatment response and adjust medications as needed.
• Consult with patients, families, and the treatment team.
• Provide clinical guidance and coordinate patient-centered care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Stay current with developments in psychiatry through continuing education.
