Job summary

SUNY Niagara is seeking a part-time Nursing Psychiatric Clinical Instructor for the Associate Degree Nursing Program. The 15-week appointment includes two 6.5-hour clinical days weekly, with scheduling varying by availability. Compensation is $11,739 for the appointment.

The instructor will teach psychiatric clinical experiences, develop and present course materials, and perform day-to-day clinical teaching duties while meeting RN licensure requirements and MSN prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license.
• Recent (within five years) acute‑care clinical experience.
• MSN or currently enrolled in an MSN program (or intend to enroll during the academic year).

Responsibilities

• Teach a diverse student population in the psychiatric clinical setting.
• Speak in front of groups and communicate effectively with students, co‑workers, supervisors, and the campus community.
• Develop, prepare, and present course materials.
• Operate computers and perform day‑to‑day clinical teaching duties.
• Physically perform the duties of the position as required.
