Rutgers University in Newark, NJ seeks a part-time Prosthodontist faculty member (Assistant/Associate Professor) for Pre-doctoral and (potentially) Post-graduate teaching in fixed, removable, implant prosthodontics, and related areas.

The position includes teaching, scholarly activity, service, and potential leadership as course director. Salary and rank depend on experience; background in maxillofacial prosthodontics and AB Prosthodontics is valued.

Qualifications

• DDS/DMD degree from a US or Canadian CODA-accredited dental school or equivalent
• Applicant must be eligible for a New Jersey State dental license
• Certificate of advanced specialty training in prosthodontics from a CODA-accredited program
• Background in maxillofacial prosthodontics and Board certification by the American Board of Prosthodontics is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Pre-doctoral education in fixed, removable, implant prosthodontics, occlusion, biomaterials, and operative dentistry
• Participation in pre-clinical and post-graduate teaching; possible involvement in the Master of Dental Science degree program
• Scholarly activity, research and service; teaching preclinical courses
• Potentially serving as course director and as an advisor for students; lecturing as directed
• Participation on committees and other assignments as directed by the Chair
